Psalm 5:7-8 (NLT)

Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; with deepest awe I will worship at your temple. Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Tell me clearly what to do, and show me which way to turn.

What an awesome promise — that the prodigal can stand before the Father in worship, not because of anything they have done but, because of His unfailing love for them! There is no one on earth who loves our prodigal as much as their Creator.

I pray the prodigal will, one day, worship with awe because they recognize what God’s done for them. May they learn to actively listen to His voice, make choices based on what they hear Him clearly saying and the enemy have no power over them.

Proverbs 16:33 (NLT)

We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they fall.

God has given us a free will and the ability to choose as we want. We love to be in control of things most days and may give little thought to how God would have us live; yet, He is determining our steps.

The prodigal has “thrown the dice,” so to speak, and tried living a life away from God. Little do they know the Father has a loving purpose for them and has a plan for getting them there. He is wooing, directing and moving heaven and earth to bring them full circle and back to Himself.

I’m praying today that even though the prodigal thinks they are in full control of the direction of their life, God’s powerful influence will be clearly evident in the days ahead.

Matthew 7:11

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!

Just a reminder on this Father’s Day of what a wonderful heavenly Father we have, one who desires the prodigal to come home so He can lavish extravagant love on them!

I pray your prodigal is making their way home and has been receiving good gifts from the Father all along the way!
