John 15:7-8 (NLT)

If you stay joined to me and my words remain in you, you may ask whatever you like, and it will be granted. My true disciples produce much fruit. This brings great glory to my Father.

I’ve heard it said, “We are not to judge, but we can be fruit inspectors.” Spiritual fruit is evidence of our belief in Christ and activity in the Kingdom of God.

Fruit can only be produced from a branch; a branch that is getting nourishment from a vine, fed from the roots. It is vital for this branch to stay connected to the strong and capable vine in order to produce continual fruit.

I picture our prodigals attached to the vine of Jesus Christ. They might be struggling and weak but yet attached. I pray they will grow strong and flourish. I can imagine overwhelming results as they remain there and whatever they ask will be granted because it will glorify the Father.
