Psalm 32:5 NLT

Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.

These verses are a reminder of the progression to freedom….

  • recognize our sin
  • realize our rebellion against God
  • admit our sin
  • trust in His willingness to forgive
  • accept His forgiveness

We even have freedom from the guilt of our sin!

There is power in agreeing with God about our sin. He knows, so we might as well confess! Knowing His forgiving nature and trusting in His forgiveness is what frees us from guilt.

May your expectations of what God will do in your prodigal’s life rise as you trust that they will begin to walk these progressive steps to freedom!

Psalm 32:5 NLT

  1. Praying hard for that first step! Yesterday was hard. Also a reminder for me to call the sin in my life by name and confess it. I want to have a pure heart before the Lord.
