Psalm 46:10a

Be still and know that I am God.

There, in the stillness of the night, the Savior was born. I’m not sure Mary and Joseph could grasp all that this little one would be and do. Could they imagine that this baby would grow up to bear the sin of the world and be a redeemer of men?

I pray the prodigal will experience a stillness this Christmas; time to contemplate what the Christ-child came to do for them personally. I pray the thought of God’s great love will overwhelm their heart and start them on a new path of a love relationship with Him like they have never known.
