Deuteronomy 33:27

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.  He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, ”destroy him!”

This was a portion of Moses’ blessing spoken over the tribe of Asher. I love the idea of God pointing His finger at the enemy and saying, “destroy him”. There is a place we can go where nothing can hurt us; it’s underneath His everlasting arms.

I am praying today that God is pointing His mighty finger at the prodigal’s enemy, pushing him back, for now, so they can walk in freedom. One day soon, he will be destroyed. I pray the prodigal will run to His everlasting arms and there find the security they long for.
