Romans 1:16

I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes…

I love this verse in the Amplified Bible –

“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation (for deliverance from eternal death) to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance…”

The Gospel is powerful. Although many reject it, to those who will trust and surrender to the work Christ did on the cross it gives life and power.

I pray the prodigal will confidently surrender to the Gospel and never try to excuse or hide it; that they will gladly share the power Christ has had in their life.
