Psalm 25:7 NLT

Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O Lord.

We plead for forgiveness, not because of our merit but because we know He is a merciful God. When it comes to our rebellion, we have nothing else to stand on but His mercy and unfailing love.

I pray the prodigal will come to realize their rebellion, own up to it and rely fully on the mercy of the Lord’s unfailing love.
