Psalm 13:5-6

But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for He has been good to me.

When the prodigal son returned home to his father who held a party to celebrate his return, it was a picture of God’s unfailing love for us. We can trust His love for us because of the promise of salvation and His goodness towards us; in response, our hearts should continually rejoice.

I pray the prodigal will come to understand God’s great love for them, through the promise of salvation, and recognize His goodness in their life.
