Proverbs 20:27 (NLT)

The Lord’s light penetrates the human spirit, exposing every hidden motive.

God has placed within us all a light, His light. It can be just a flicker at times but is used to search out our very thoughts and intentions. We are served well to pay attention to our conscience; it’s a compass that points to Him.

A most useful “light” penetrating our spirit is His Word. It has the power to shine into our heart’s exposing sin, even the very motive for sin.

I pray the prodigal will come to love God’s Word; that they will not be afraid to let His light shine in their hearts and expose sin.
