Psalm 25:15

My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only He will release my feet from the snare.

Our enemy is so sneaky. He knows he doesn’t have to get us totally engulfed in sin; just a foothold will do. If he can just snare our foot, it keeps us from moving forward spiritually and he might just be able to bring us down.

Today I am praying the prodigal will have a keen eye for snares. The road ahead is a long one and they will battle more than once with the enemy; knowing how he works is important. May they keep their eyes ever on the Lord!

Aren’t we thankful for a God who is always ready to rescue and release the prodigal from a snare?

Ephesians 1:17

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know Him better.

A Spirit of wisdom will carry a prodigal far in their journey back to the Father; godly wisdom about their situation, their sin, finding freedom, meeting the challenges of life and especially knowing that they are indeed loved. With wisdom will also come revelation. God wants to reveal to the prodigal things that will bring the two of them closer. To know about God is one thing, but to KNOW Him is what will change a life.
