Isaiah 45:2-3

I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel who summons you by name.

A gate and bars would be used to keep one out; prevent them from gaining access to something, possibly things of great value. I believe the enemy works hard to not only place mountains before the prodigal but to erect gates of bronze and bars of iron in their lives — gates and bars of self-doubt, condemnation, shame, etc.

The Father wants to go before the prodigal and level mountains, as well as break down those gates, giving them access to the riches of the kingdom hidden in secret places!

I want this for my prodigal, don’t you? I can hear Him now, summoning them by name….
