Isaiah 55:12-13 The Message

So you’ll go out in joy, you’ll be led into a whole and complete life. The mountains and hills will lead the parade, bursting with song. All the trees of the forest will join the procession, exuberant with applause. No more thistles, but giant sequoias, no more thornbushes, but stately pines – Monuments to me, to God, living and lasting evidence of God.

What a beautiful word picture of a life that’s led out of thistles and thorn bushes into one of the strength of a giant sequoia or stately pine….oh the processional of singing and applause! This is what I envision for the prodigal. As they are led out in joy to a life of wholeness and completeness, God will get the honor and recognition….they will be a monument to His faithfulness!

My prayer today is that the prodigal will go out with joy and move ahead into a new life of freedom in Christ. May they make Him famous!
