Isaiah 63:8-9
He said, “Surely they are my people who will not be false to me” and so He became their Savior. In all their distress He too was distressed, and the angel of His presence saved them. In His love and mercy He redeemed them; He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.
I love the fact that what brings us distress also touches the Father’s heart with distress. To think, in His mercy, He carries us all our days….what a powerful picture of promise!
I remember having to carry my kids when they were little and got tired of walking. When we would camp as a family and go hiking in the mountains sometimes my husband and I both had kids on our backs! I know there are times yet today I get weary and just can’t continue. My heart and His Word tell me He literally carries me when I can’t go on.
Our Abba Father will carry the prodigal through what ever is weighing on them today and He will continue to carry them all the days of their life. Also, don’t carry what you were not meant to carry, pass off that burden to the Father.
