Exodus 2:23
The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. God heard their groaning and remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.
When I read these verses I envision the children of Israel and the weight of years of slavery taking their toll. They cry out, and their cry is heard.
A new covenant was birthed in the Cross. It’s one that includes us as Gentiles. God hears our cry as well and remembers this covenant sealed by the blood of His Son.
I pray your prodigal grows weary of the slavery the enemy has them caught up in and will soon cry out as well…..there is a covenant of love in place with the Father and He will honor that.
