Proverbs 3:21-24
My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble; when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
I find it amazing what a little sound judgment and discernment can accomplish in a life. Can you imagine life that is safe, without constant stumbles and always being able to lie down with no fear and sleep sweetly? Now, that’s a pleasant thought.
Today I pray that the prodigal will learn what it takes to sleep sweetly and experience a life free from stumbling…. sound judgment and discernment! I also pray they will understand the decisions they make contribute to both.
