Isaiah 55:8-9

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways, my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

When we don’t understand how our prodigal’s lives are playing out, we can take comfort in knowing there is someone much wiser guiding the process. God knows what He’s doing and my finite mind cannot understand all the ways the creator of the universe is working on a prodigal’s behalf. The way I would do it is probably not the way God is doing it. Just know that God has our prodigal’s best interest at heart. As much as we love them, He loves them more.
