James 1:12

Blessed is the man, who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

I can’t imagine, for a parent, what it must be like to watch God present your child with a crown of life! Trials the prodigal withstands here on earth, ones they persevere out of love for the Father, will be rewarded.

We are an important part of that perseverance by lifting them up in prayer. It will be reward enough for me to see the prodigal receiving theirs!
