2 Thessalonians 1:11

So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of His call. May He give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.

I believe each of us, as followers of Christ, has a calling on our life and God will enable us to do anything He calls us to.

The same is true for the prodigal. They may not be walking in their calling just yet, but I must believe they will. The Father can enable them to live a changed life, worthy of HIs calling. Let’s pray they will be prompted by faith to do good things and accomplish them through the power of the Holy Spirit.
