John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

The world may cry out for peace, but even an absence of fear and strife can’t give us peace like knowing the Father gives. The peace we have as believers is constant through the greatest of trials, the worst failures, and times of seeming hopelessness. This peace is sustainable even when everything else around us has failed because it’s supernatural. Jesus freely gives this peace, which is a great encouragement.

I pray that the prodigal’s heart will be at peace; that they aren’t troubled by anything looming ahead of them and that peace would reign over any fear in their minds.
