Job 33:28-30 NLT
God rescued me from the grave, and now my life is filled with light. Yes, God does these things again and again for people. He rescues them from the grave so they may enjoy the light of life.
Job was literally on his deathbed, one foot in the grave, but he served a God who was a rescuer of men.
The prodigal son also had himself in a grave of sorts; he found himself in a big pit of darkness and despair.
From the darkness of a pit to the light of life; being set free brings amazing transformation! And God does it over and over again! The prodigal may think they are living in the “light of life” just because they are free to live how they wish. But, what amazing “light” awaits them once they are rescued from their pit!
