April 9

1 Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

As Ecclesiastes says, “there’s nothing new under the sun”. The prodigal will not encounter any temptation that has not been around for a long time. God’s promise – He provides a way out.

I’m praying the prodigal will begin to recognize their strongest temptations…then in God’s strength, choose to walk away at their first chance of escape. May they learn to quickly identify any trap the enemy has set for them.

  1. I found you at 3:00a.m. as I woke up and began to pray for my prodigal daughter. My heart has been broken at how far away she has walked from her precious childhood relationship with Jesus. Just today she said she would not allow my sweet, almost 3 year old, grandson to go to an Easter event at church. My dear 91 year old mother and I have been able to read him stories and teach him songs about Jesus (that she grew up with). I know Jesus will draw her to Him. Thank you so much for this and your faithfulness.

    • Jaclyn, so glad you found my blog and are encouraged by it. I have walked your road and understand your hurting heart. I’ll be praying for your daughter… stay encouraged, God is so faithful and what He began in her will not be abandoned. Blessings!
