Romans 8:38-39

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

At times I picture this huge battle for my prodigal taking place in the spiritual realm, one they are probably oblivious to. This fight is for their very life because the enemy would love to see them destroyed. That’s why I feel it’s so important to stay in the battle myself – on the prodigal’s behalf. When the storm is raging, I find comfort in these verses.

I pray the prodigal will be convinced of this truth… nothing can separate them from the love of God in Christ!
