2 Peter 3:13-15

But in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with Him. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation.

Thank goodness for the patience of God! Man has no idea how many times He might have wanted to bring on the end, to take care of sin once and for all, yet, He is patient and wanting to see as many come to salvation as possible before that great day. Personally, I am looking forward to Christ’s coming, but I must bear in mind, the Lord’s patience means salvation for many!

Let’s pray the prodigal will make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with Him in these last days, knowing some day they will be part of a new home of righteousness.
