Numbers 6:24-26
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.
When we bless God, at most, it is us attributing praise to Him; our words, thoughts, song and actions given to Him the best we know how. But, when He blesses us, His favor rests on us and it’s powerful. In these verses, the fruit of that favor are protection, pardon and peace.
My prayer for the prodigal this day is that the Lord’s face will indeed shine on them, that He will be gracious to them and His favor rests on them. More than anything they need His peace right now, and I pray they feel it with great certainty.
