Luke 12:29, 31 NLT
Don’t worry about food — what to eat or drink. Don’t worry whether God will provide it for you. He will give you all you need from day to day if you make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.
If His Kingdom is our primary concern, we have to allow Him to be Lord over every area of our lives. That means our money, our family, our work, our plans and every relationship. We should want the Kingdom to be the focus of our lives every day (easier said than done!)
God knows what the prodigal needs and He will provide if their focus stays on Him. I don’t only want God to provide though; I want Him to guide them in how to use what He has provided.
My prayer for the prodigal today is that they will grow in their desire to know Him and what He is concerned with; that they will not have to worry about money or a job and find they can trust those things to His hand. I pray they will learn His faithfulness by experience.
