Hosea 14:9 (NLT)

Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those who are discerning listen carefully. The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. But sinners stumble and fall along the way.

God’s paths are laid out in His Word. If we walk in that clearly defined path, we have life (not only here on earth but in eternity). There is safety in staying on the marked path. Once we step outside of God’s true and right path, we are open to the pitfall of what lies there… big obstacles, the ditch, a cliff, being lost and wandering, etc.

I pray for the prodigal to be wise and discerning regarding the path they are on. May it line up with a defined path of the Lord’s design.
