Psalm 19:7-8

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

Rather than being chains on our hands and feet, God’s law is the opposite – it revives us, makes us wise, produces joy and gives light to our path! Those who think we serve a God who is a kill-joy doesn’t really know Him.

I pray the prodigal will come to know the value of following God’s laws and be revived with a joyful heart in their obedience to Him.
