Deuteronomy 30:19-20
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life… that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life…
In this text, Moses is challenging Israel to choose life; to obey God. God will allow each of us the choice to follow Him or reject Him; we decide. His desire is that we choose life through His son. When we choose to love and hold fast to Him, blessings always follow.
I pray the prodigal, when faced with the decision, will choose life. The commitment to love the Lord and listen to His voice will be one that can have a ripple effect through generations.
