Lamentations 3:22

Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

This is one of my favorite verses. It’s a reminder that each day is a new chance; a chance to start over, to live more fully in Christ, to live like a forgiven child of God because of His mercy towards us.

The Father never sleeps, but for the prodigal, each sunrise could be a reminder of His great love and compassion towards them and a new day to begin again.

My prayer for the prodigal today is that no matter what kind of mess they have gotten themselves into, they will begin to wake up each morning aware of God’s presence and literally see His faithfulness at work.
