Romans 9:15-16

God said…..“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.

Sometimes we forget the kind of God we serve. He certainly can have mercy and compassion on whom He chooses. He is sovereign; not arbitrary. In all things He works for our good and He is trustworthy. His purposes for us are always good and right whether I understand them or not. He acts based on His mercy not our effort.

I pray that God will continue to have mercy on the prodigal and they, in return, will be in awe of a sovereign God…
