Ezekiel 36:26-27 NLT

And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

This promise comes right after God tells Israel that even after all they have done, He would gather them up from all over the world and bring them home. Not because they deserved it, but for the honor of His great name He would do this.

If your prodigal is living away from you, picture their homecoming as God gathers them up and then by the power of the Holy Spirit, changes their stony, stubborn little heart to one that is tender and responsive to Him!
