Psalm 32:6-7

Therefore, let the godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him. You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

I had times when I feared the things my prodigal was doing and the habits and friends they were depending on would destroy them. I always returned to a sense of peace and rest when I remembered God was their deliverer. What a picture — God surrounding them with songs of deliverance! I think of it as a wall of protection. The enemy can advance only so far and no further.

Speak this encouraging word over your prodigal; hear Him surrounding them with songs of deliverance…
