Psalm 18:16-19 (NLT)

He reached down from heaven and rescued me. He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They attacked me in a moment when I was in distress, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a place of safety; He rescued me because He delights in me.

I love the picture of God reaching down and rescuing. The enemy will always be on the attack; especially when a person is already in distress. We may be helpless to save them, but God sees and knows and will rescue. As much as you delight in that prodigal…the Father delights in them even more!

I pray for the Father’s rescuing hand to be extended to the prodigal and in return the prodigal would sense His delight in them.
