I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten…

repay — make up, to make peace with, to be complete, to make whole, to make good

What a wonderful promise! Even though the prodigal, for a time, might have made a mess of their life, I believe God will make up for the lost years as they begin to show a heart of repentance and desire to walk in obedience. It may be that the Father allows the prodigal to make peace with those lost years, and that will be enough. God loves them, their forgiveness has already been won and He’s all about restoration. Even though the past years may have been wasted spiritually, God will make up for them, make good on them in a wonderful way down the road.

Pray today that your prodigal will see things beginning to be restored and that they can make peace with their mistakes.
