2 Corinthians 5:21
God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
I don’t fully understand the work of the cross, of someone taking on the sin of the whole world, but that is exactly what the Christ child came to do. Because it is God’s doing, we must believe it is done.
The ability to stand before God righteous, clean and sin free, was paid for by the blood of our Savior. Thanksgiving should be the song of our heart because of this great gift.
I pray the prodigal will understand the concept of being righteous before God because Christ was willing to become sin for them; may it move them to thanksgiving and give them new hope for the year ahead.
