Philippians 4:13

I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.

As we begin a new year, these are powerful words for the prodigal and us! Paul could speak these words because he had learned to see life from God’s point of view and move in His strength; finding contentment in every situation. I pray you are moving in the strength and hope of the Lord concerning your prodigal as 2018 ends and 2019 begins.

The prodigal has been living in their own strength for so long, it’s hard for them to know what it’s like to walk in God’s strength. My prayer for the prodigal, as they begin this new year, is that they recognize their position in Christ; they are a loved son and daughter! I pray they are weary of keeping up a life apart from the Father and begin to walk the path back, encouraged that they can do anything in His strength. May joy and peace be a mantle that covers them in days ahead.
