For those who have been following along for some time, I wanted you to know I am changing the titles, starting this new year, to reflect the date. We will reach 365 days soon and I will let you know when we have. Thanks for your continued encouragement along this journey!

Philippians 4:13

I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.

As we begin a new year, these are powerful words for us and the prodigal! The context in which Paul was speaking these words is in his learning to be content in every situation. He had learned to see life from God’s point of view and move in His strength.

The prodigal has been living in their own strength for so long; it’s hard for them to know what it’s like to walk in God’s strength.

My prayer for the prodigal as they begin this new year, is that they recognize their position in Christ; they are a loved son and daughter! I pray they are weary of keeping up a life apart from the Father and begin to walk the path back, encouraged that they can do anything in His strength. May joy and peace be a mantle that covers them in days ahead.
